Agus Gunawan ~ Wooden Puppets from Indonesia for Sale
Agus Gunawan is a carver of wooden Indonesian puppets, and is also a dalang - a puppet master - who is well-known in his native West Java.
Agus is the real thing: his father taught him the family trade, who in turn learnt from his father, the reknowned Mad Hanan of Ciamis.
Together with his wife Mariam - who makes the puppets' beautiful batik dresses - they form a tight team that are proud to continue the age-old tradition of wayang golek.
